Push Push PUUUSSSHHH
Being downgraded to one car makes life interesting and kind of puts me in a holding pattern. Not that I have a lot to do all day long, but that sense of freedom is taken. Hubby is constantly worried about me in what he calls my “prison”. He’s always trying to get me to take the car so that I can run around during the day, but that would mean getting up, dressed (gasp) and hauling the kids to his work WAY too early in the morning. Then going back at five so that I can enjoy rush hour traffic even though I don’t work. I take him up on it occasionally, but it makes a good excuse for laying around in my pajamas with the kiddlets.
Our single car family lifestyle is about to expand however, as we give birth to the newest member. A Dodge Stratus (Click on this for more info on the importance of a Dodge Stratus. Hint: fast forward to minute 4 if you’re in a hurry). The conception of this car was a joyous occasion that we are so unbelievably grateful for. It was my sister in laws but she abandoned it and my In-Laws don’t want the responsibility of raising this car, so they’ve given us the chance to adopt it as our own.
The birth plan is to fly to Arkansas, then drive it back. This will be an unassisted birth and we will be caring for Junior in the backseat, so we are buckling down for a long, intense, painful experience. I’m sure there will be moments of relief inbetween the contractions (aka naptime), and they will prepare us for the difficult times ahead.
I will be attempting (no guarantees) to post flickr pics along our trip, so keep an eye out. Also if you’re on flickr, check out Gus Gus and his motorcycle trip across America. ETD September 15th-ish.
